Some people say that nothing good happens after midnight, but Carrie & Jay definitely would not agree with that statement. In fact, it was almost 2am when they first met; each was out with friends at a local pub and were introduced right as the bar had announced “last call.” I doubt they ever expected that a chance encounter at a bar would be how they’d meet the love of their lives, but that’s just what happened! I love this story and as soon as I heard it I had a feeling I was going to really love these two, and I was correct!
As the years have passed since then they’ve started to build a beautiful life together, with their own house, 2 dogs, and now are HUSBAND AND WIFE! I am so thankful I got to be the one to photograph their wedding celebration as they entered this new chapter together. They’re such a fun and easy-going couple and are an absolute pleasure to be around, and they have some serious good luck with weather! I photographed their engagement session earlier this year and it ended up being 65 and sunny, in FEBRUARY in ROCHESTER. I didn’t even think that was possible! Their wedding day was another unseasonably warm and beautiful day, in the 70s and all sunshine in late October. It really couldn’t have been a more perfect day, and their wedding was at one of my favorite Rochester venues, Casa Larga Vineyard & Winery.
I’ll let the photographs tell the story of their big day – hope you enjoy them!
