finger lakes intimate backyard wedding: gill & brad

I’m having the hardest time writing this blog introduction because I truly cannot put into words how much I love this couple! Gill has been one of my closest friends since the day I met her our freshman year of college, and there’s almost nothing in the world I value more than her friendship! She lights up every room she enters, brightens everyone’s day she meets, and brings fun and laughter everywhere she goes.  Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to dance all night with, she’s your girl. I am so happy she found someone equally wonderful to share her life with in Brad! 

They bring out the best in each other (and the best of these two is borderline sainthood in my opinion). I love how much they love and appreciate their families (who are WONDERFUL), which was especially evident on their wedding day! For tiny weddings like this one, everyone tends to chip in to make it possible, and every single person there worked hard to make sure the day was perfect – and they succeeded! I love seeing the joy radiating out of every single face in these photos.

This celebration certainly didn’t look like they originally planned – like so many other couples who planned weddings for this year, they had to make huge sacrifices. But none of it stopped them from forgetting what mattered most to them – each other. I am honestly loving the vibe of these intimate, backyard weddings that we’re all seeing a lot of lately, and it certainly doesn’t hurt when the “backyard view” is a stunning scene of Honeoye Lake. It was a perfectly picturesque backdrop for these two to say their I do’s, and more special than any venue could be as the cottage holds generations of memories for Gill’s family!  

I’m so thankful I got to photograph their wedding ceremony and I hope you love getting this glimpse into a truly special day!
