90 State Events Downtown Albany Wedding Photography

This was a little bit shorter of a shooting day for me than normal, but I still had so many favorites I couldn’t resist sharing some on my blog! Michelle + Tommy met on a date... but NOT with each other! Michelle was going on a date with another guy, but she and the guy each brought a friend along to keep things more relaxed, and the friend that the date brought was Tommy. Needless to say, the date was a huge success, just not in the way anyone expected! Michelle & Tommy had their first real date shortly after, where they continued to hit it off and could tell they’d found something special in one another. Over the next several years, Tommy and Michelle began to build a life together, and after 3 years of love and adventures, and facing life’s ups and downs together, Tommy got down on one knee in their home and asked Michelle to marry him.

When I arrived to the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Albany on the afternoon of their wedding, the weather was absolutely perfect! This hotel was super convenient for them to get ready in, as it’s just down the street from their ceremony & reception venue; 90 State Events. I hadn’t photographed any weddings here in the past, but after seeing photos of the gorgeous interior and knowing it was run by Mazzone Hospitality, I knew it would be spectacular! In between the ceremony and reception we were able to walk over to East Capital Park, and between the golden hour views down State Street and the gorgeous architecture of the State Capital Building, we were over-the-moon happy photographing these two! They are really sweet people and a pleasure to be around, especially because you can just feel how much they love each other! It was honor that they chose me to photograph such an emotional and meaningful day for them, and I hope they’ll treasure these photos forever!
