hayloft on the arch wedding: erin + riley
Erin & Riley met when they were in high school and they instantly hit it off and became good friends, but didn’t become anything more than that until years later. They fell out of touch as they went off to different colleges, and then each spent a few years living in big cities (Riley in NYC and Erin in Boston), but then as fate would have it, both decided to move back to the Troy area! They reconnected and shared their first date at Peebles Island State Park where they went for a hike, and although they didn’t do much more hiking over the next few years, they did fall in love and start to build a life together! Eventually they returned to Peebles Island to walk their pup, and Riley got down on one knee right where it had all began, and asked Erin to marry him!
I actually got to revisit this special spot with Erin & Riley when I first met them for their engagement photos. Meeting these two was more like hanging out with old friends, because they are SO personable, kind, and outgoing! I knew their wedding would be a truly special day and it most certainly was. They tied the knot on a beautiful summer day at Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon NY, which is probably the most beautiful barn venue I’ve ever seen! Not only is the venue gorgeous all on its own, but Erin and Riley had picked out and put together some of the most stunning décor and details which made the space look completely unforgettable!
I really cannot say enough good things about Erin & Riley. They are the kind of couple that everyone wants to be around, not just because they’re so much fun, but also because they’re genuinely kind and gracious. They radiate so much positivity, joy, and love that it seems impossible to be anything but happy when they’re around! Witnessing and photographing their wedding day was an honor and also an absolute blast! I’ll let the photographs tell the rest of the day’s story, hope everyone enjoys this collection of my favorite shots!!
