inn on broadway, rochester wedding: anna + chris
I loved everything about Anna & Chris’s winter wedding! They said their I do’s on a sunny January afternoon a few Saturdays ago, and it was perfect. These two are smart, sophisticated, and classy, but they’re also unique and a ton of fun, and I think their wedding day reflected that perfectly! The day began (and ended) at the Inn on Broadway, which is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in Rochester so I’m always thrilled to work there! They each got ready in one of the Inn’s rooms, and one of the things I love about this location is that each guest room is unique and beautiful – in most hotels I photograph in ways that hide the décor, while at the Inn I’m constantly trying to incorporate it into my photos! The getting-ready process is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day, there’s so much excitement in the air and I’m always immediately inspired as I see all the beautiful details the couple chose – Anna’s Theia wedding gown from Rochester’s Lovely Bride was absolutely stunning! I actually got my wedding dress from Lovely Bride as well, and I’d certainly recommend it to any brides-to-be! Anna got ready with her two sisters (who were also her bridesmaids) and their mother, and it was lovely to see what a close-knit family they are! My favorite part was when Anna’s dad stopped in to see his daughter all ready for her big day – his face was priceless!
Their ceremony was nearby at the Blessed Sacrament Church. I loved the looks on Anna & Chris’s faces as they first saw each other, as well as all the stolen glances they shared during the ceremony! Afterward, Anna & Chris wanted to make a stop at Mount Hope Cemetery for photos of the two of them and their bridal party, and I love how the photos from this location turned out! The light was absolutely gorgeous – it’s so rare to get a sunny day in January where there’s also snow on the ground! My sometimes excessive enthusiasm took over at this point, and I’m so thankful that Chris and Anna were willing and excited to take these outdoor photos because it was FREEZING, but they are such troopers that you can’t tell at all!
The final stop was back to the Inn on Broadway for their cocktail hour and reception, and it was a fantastic party. Jeff from Whirlin Disc did a fantastic job behind his DJ booth, and this crowd was definitely the dancing type! It was such a fun and joyous evening and I’m so happy I got to capture it! A shout out to the other fantastic vendors who worked to make this day perfect – Cheri Marie did a beautiful job with the ladies’ hair and makeup, Kittelberger Florist created the gorgeous bouquets and flower arrangements, and Something Delicious made the cake!
