bristol harbour resort finger lakes wedding: katie + steve
What a spectacular day this was! I was prepared for non-stop rain so when we ended up with only a few minutes of it I was especially grateful! Not only did the rain hold off, we also had some really spectacular daytime light and skies! So thankful when the weather works out in our favor! Remember that future brides – a stormy forecast can mean magic skies! We started and ended the day at Bristol Harbour Resort, which is one of my favorite venues in the Finger Lakes, or really anywhere for that matter! You just can’t beat the views of Canandaiga Lake; I'm so thankful we were able to get outside and take advantage of them!
There were so many sweet moments that really stuck out to me as I captured this day. I loved the way everyone’s eyes filled with tears as Katie’s bridesmaids first saw her in her wedding dress, you could tell these girlfriends had really become more like family! As emotional as that moment was, it was nothing compared to Katie & Steve’s first look. The love between them as they looked at the person they were about to marry is hard to put into words – thank god for photographs!
After Katie & Steve’s first look we all headed to St. Mary’s Church which is a beautiful cathedral in Canandaigua. They said their I do’s surrounded by family and friends, and then exited the church as husband and wife, with huge smiles on their faces to a fun ribbon waving exit! I love how the photos from that part of the day turned out! Then we made one more stop before heading back to Bristol Harbour at Kershaw Park, where we had some spectacular views of the lake! I was in heaven; I could photograph people in love at beautiful locations every day!! The rest of their celebrations were just as wonderful and I’m so thankful they picked me to capture everything for them! Here are some of my favorite photographs – enjoy!
