This was another spectacular wedding day, beautiful in every way and completely unique to Bari & Mike. I don’t typically use the word aura, but I don’t know how else to describe the peaceful, thoughtful, joyful vibe that emanated off of these two. They seem to really be present in each moment spent with each other, and are more often than not staring into each other’s eyes with so much love it makes your heart want to burst!!

I distinctly remember first reading their message when they first reached out almost a year and a half ago, because it was just so beautifully unique and well written that I felt like I was reading a love story out of a novel! Bari wrote of how they first met on the rocky shore of Oregon, where they were attending the same business meeting. They both work to protect and preserve coastal areas and were drawn together by this shared interest, as well as their mutual love for experiencing all of nature’s magic, especially birdwatching.

They carried their love of birds beautifully into their wedding day, with feathers peppered throughout Bari’s GORGEOUS bouquet, Mike’s peacock feather bowtie, and throughout the reception barn at Hurd Orchards. I have seen so many gorgeous wedding venues, from ballrooms, barns, to beaches, and everything in between, and each has been stunning, but the way that the barn at Hurd Orchards had been decorated literally took my breath away! From the gorgeous, colorful flowers that filled every corner, to the beautiful little bird paintings scattered throughout the room, to the hundreds and hundreds of origami cranes dangling from the ceilings at lighting, it was perfect. I’m getting a little ahead of myself here though, because the spot where they said their I do’s was also stunning, right in Bari’s mom’s backyard which has a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario. I was in heaven in all of these gorgeous locations, photographing a day full of genuine love and happiness. Here are some of my favorite images, enjoy!
