norton chapel + heron hill winery finger lakes wedding: katie + jessie

I absolutely love to hear about elaborate proposal stories involving complicated planning and scheming, but I think even more so I find myself moved by stories about more simple, thoughtful, sincere proposals that are purely just about the couple and that emotional moment for them. Jessie proposed to Katie on Christmas morning, with just the two of them there, and it was their first big holiday in their new home; the house they had recently purchased together. That will most certainly be a Christmas they will never forget! 

Katie & Jessie are Rochester natives and first met while they were both working at Seabreeze! Funnily enough, Katie’s parents also met at Seabreeze so I guess it’s a lucky spot for love amongst their family members! It’s been over eight years since their relationship began, and I’m honored they chose me to document this huge occasion in their lives.

They said their I do’s at Norton Chapel on Keuka College’s campus, and their ceremony was short & sweet, and full of love! Their reception was at Heron Hill Winery which is one of the Finger Lakes Region’s many spectacular wineries, but it’s hard to beat the view of Keuka lake from up on one of the rolling hills where the winery sits. I had a blast photographing these two around all the area’s spectacular scenery and then later as they hit the dancefloor (especially when Jessie’s Girl came on)!
