fort niagara youngstown engagement session: heidi + jack

Heidi & Jack are exactly the type of couple that I love "working" with, but I can hardly call it work when my clients are so much fun to be around! I remember meeting Heidi a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid for another favorite client of mine, and she said someday she’d be reaching out to me about her own wedding! She was so sweet and I had my fingers crossed that someday I’d hear from her, and earlier this year I did! 

For Heidi & Jack, it all started over $.25 chicken wings. They were both out at wing night when they were introduced by a mutual friend, and needless to say, they hit it off! One thing led to another, and over the next 7.5 years they started to build a life together, living in various cities and adopting two dogs who are maybe the most picture-perfect animals I have ever seen in my life!! 

I loved hearing Jack describe how he found the perfect place to propose to Heidi while they were on vacation in Hawaii this fall and hiking with friends, but he wanted it to just be the two of him so he persuaded her to go back on the same hike later in their trip. They got stuck in heavy traffic on their way there for the second time, and Heidi was a little less than enthused with the hassle, it was getting late and she wasn’t quite sure why they needed to repeat this hike! Any lack of enthusiasm she may have been feeling melted away and turned to pure joy when Jack asked her to marry him! I love picturing them on the hike back, newly engaged, half skipping half running with huge grins on their faces thinking about all the wonderful things ahead of them!
