I felt like I had an engagement session almost every other night in October, but it could never get old! Each one felt completely unique and I loved getting to know my 2018 wedding couples better! I'm all the more excited for next wedding season, and really can't wait for Sara & Joel to tie the knot next fall! The weather for their engagement session was perfect - sunshine, cool air, a light breeze, and a beautiful sunset! We started off at Highland Park, and then headed over to Turning Point Park to finish it up. These are definitely two of my favorite Rochester parks so it was a really fun shoot, especially because these two are absolutely adorable and so easy to photograph! Here are a handful of my favorite images!

Jordan and Travis looked like they just walked out of a catalog when they showed up for their engagement session, and I could not have been more thrilled when I saw their outfits! We met up at Turning Point Park in Rochester on a cool summer night (which was SUCH a nice change from all the hot weather we’d been having here)! Our second stop was the beach at Durand Eastman Park and it was a beautiful night for photos on the water. These two are one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure to meet, not to mention that they’re absolutely gorgeous people (with impeccable style!!)! It was so hard to narrow down images for this blog from their session because there were just so many photos that I LOVE, but here are a few of my favorite photos!
I love that engagement sessions give me a chance to get to know my clients, and allow them to get comfortable with me and being in front of the camera! Meghan and Brian were referred to me by friends, but their session was our first time meeting in person. I could tell almost instantly that they were going to be fantastic! They’re laid back and have great senses of humor AND they were extremely patient (and amused) with the fact that I kept calling Brian by the wrong name – Kevin. I’m usually pretty good with names and I don’t even any friends named Kevin so I really have no excuse, but I could. not. stop. It was weird. I’M SORRY BRIAN.
We chose to do the session on a fantastic stretch of the Genesee Riverway Trail where the path turns into a wooden bridge that extends over the river. It’s full of twists and turns over the water and it’s really a beautiful spot!
These two are adorable beyond words so I’ll just have to let the photos do most of the talking – enjoy!
Carli and Matt's engagement session was one of my favorites! They were a pleasure to work with, it was a beautiful fall afternoon, and the light was wonderful! I especially loved the location where we started the session, one of the parks along the Genesee River that I had no idea existed until Carli suggested it for their engagement photos, and it was a really unique and beautiful spot. Our next stop was downtown Rochester, an area I know and love, as do Carli and Matt! These two really are fantastic and I'm so excited for their wedding next summer!
