Sinclair of Skaneateles Wedding Photography

When you run a small business, industry experts are always advising you to know who your “dream clients” are, so I’ve spent a fair amount of time mulling this over. My dream clients are couples who are truly, enduringly in love. Although their honeymoon is technically ahead of them, they’re past the honeymoon phase. They know, accept, and love each other for who they are, flaws and all. Especially the flaws.

This means they’ve already been together for a while, so they’ve often weathered some of life’s ups and downs as a couple, and that has only strengthened their bond. They’re generally happy people; down-to-earth, easy-going, and kind-hearted. When it comes to the wedding plans, they have a flair for design and pay attention to the details, but when it comes down to it to what really matters they know it’s not any of those material decisions, it’s the energy, the vibe, the emotional experience. The love.

In short, my dream clients are couples exactly like Allison and Paul. I’m truly honored these two chose me as their wedding photographer and I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from their big day.

I also just have to mention that this was my first time photographing a wedding at the Sinclair of Skaneateles, and I fell in love! This venue is so perfectly picturesque and full of character!  The building was constructed in 1871 as a shoe factory, and they’ve maintained tons of the original charm and historic features, while also incorporating modern touches that fit in seamlessly with the vibe. I was especially swooning over the third-floor bridal suite which is quite possibly the most gorgeous room I’ve ever been in (see the getting ready photos below)!
