hudson valley engagement session: kara + paolo

It’s always hardest to write blog intros for people I love because it’s SO DIFFICULT not to end up with a rambling 10 page essay about how wonderful they are. This is my BABY SISTER’S engagement session, so the phrase “I can’t even” applies. Kara is one of the most genuine, supportive, fun, brilliant, enthusiastic people there could ever be. She is fiercely loyal to the people she loves, always there whenever anyone needs her, and makes every situation more fun by going completely over the top in the best way possible.  For instance, if we have friends spend the night I’d make sure to have eggs, bacon, and coffee in the morning. Kara would probably make sure to have a gourmet breakfast with 12 different food options, coffee, tea, and a full mimosa bar, most likely with decorations. I freaking love it. 

And I freaking love that she’s going to spend her life with Paolo. He’s felt like part of the family for a while now and I can’t wait for it to be official! They are such a fun couple and I feel so lucky for all of the vacations, holidays, family get-togethers, and nights out we’ll get to spend hanging with these two in the future, most of all.. THE WEDDING!!!

I knew we needed the perfect location for their engagement photos, and these stunning gardens along the Hudson River did not disappoint! Everything was gorgeous, from the weather to their outfits to the views. It was a perfect night and I’m thrilled to share some of my favorites from their session with you here. Enjoy!
