belhurst castle finger lakes wedding: alec + melanie

Alec & Melanie are high school sweethearts who have been together since 2009! It was such an honor capturing this wedding that has been 10 years in the making, and I loved hearing through their vows and reception toasts how much Melanie & Alec have done and grown together in that time period. They are two driven, smart, kind, all-around-wonderful human beings who bring out the best in each other. I’m so thankful they found and chose me to capture this incredible occasion for them! 

Their wedding was at Belhurst Castle in Geneva, right on Seneca Lake! This is actually my second wedding in a row at Belhurst Castle, which NEVER happens, but I certainly didn’t mind!! As I mentioned in my last blog post, it’s one of my favorite venues! Their ceremony site right on the water is so perfect! It’s always a favorite moment when the groom sees the bride for the first time, but Alec’s face as Melanie walked down the aisle toward him was absolutely priceless!! So much love right there! After these two were officially pronounced Mr. + Mrs., we spent cocktail hour taking advantage of the beautiful lakeside scenery for photos of the two of them and their bridal party. Some of my favorites were down on the docks over the water!

Their reception was everything you could hope for - epic entrances, heartfelt and hilarious toasts, teary parent dances,  incredible food, and a LOT of action on the dance floor! I’ve chosen a bunch of my favorites from the day to share with you below - enjoy!
