The Foundry Suites Downtown Buffalo Wedding

Last April Allie & Pat went on a trip to Jamaica as boyfriend and girlfriend, and came back as fiancés! While they were there, Pat put together a short video collage of clips and photos of their trip. This wasn’t out of the ordinary for him, so when Allie asked to see the finished product on their last day of the vacation she wasn’t expecting anything besides a compilation of memories. That’s exactly what she saw, until the end of the video started showing various places that Pat had sneakily written “Will You Marry Me?” throughout their stay without Allie noticing. He’d written in the sand, on paper, on his hand, etc, etc. Obviously, she said yes!

I love this proposal story almost as much as I loved photographing their wedding day a few weekends ago. They got married at The Foundry in Buffalo, NY and it was my first time at this venue – I love it! The building has been around for about a century, and was originally a manufacturing plant that’s been refurbished into a completely unique hotel and event space with an elegant and industrial vibe. I absolutely LOVED all the huge windows throughout, and the outdoor courtyard in the center of the space where their ceremony was held was so charming! It’s also just a few minutes away from Delaware Park and the Albright Knox Art Gallery, so we made a quick stop there for photos between the ceremony and reception. Allie and Pat are huge Buffalo Bills fans, (go bills!) so as would only occur to Bills fans, they decide to rent a Bills bus for their transportation typically used for tailgating. If that isn’t perfect enough, the Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor was sitting on the steps of the art gallery when we arrived and was a VERY good sport about everyone freaking out and letting us get a few photos of him with Allie and Pat!

These two are so much fun, laid back, hilarious, and make each other laugh constantly! They’re also both such nice people and it was a ton of fun to photograph them and their loved ones! Here are a few of my favorite images from their big day, enjoy!
