I really don’t even know how to put my feelings on this wedding day into words. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, and then I did that all over again while I edited the photos. Admittedly, I am a huge sap, but I think anyone would’ve had a hard time not getting emotional while photographing such a special day. It doesn’t take long upon meeting Kristen and Rob to realize how incredible they are – I really can’t say enough good things about these two! They’re kind, thoughtful, gracious, and they make each other extremely happy. Their wedding was at the Sherwood Inn, a venue I adore right in the heart of Skaneateles. If you’ve never been to Skaneateles do yourself a favor and go, it’s such a neat town!
With the help of her mom and best friends, Kristen got ready for the day in one of the upstairs rooms at the Hannum house, a separate building on the Inn’s property with several huge guest rooms full of charm and unique touches. It was my first time in the house as it’s been newly renovated, and I’m in love – so much character! Just one floor below, bouncing between another picturesque guest room and the house’s parlor, Rob and his groomsmen prepped for the big day and clinked their whiskey glasses, in a cheers to Kristen + Rob!
We headed across the street to a park along Skaneateles Lake right for Kristen and Rob’s First Look which was a seriously adorable moment – Rob’s grin was ear to ear when he laid eyes on Kristen! After more photos of the two of them and their bridal party and families, it was ceremony time! They said their I do’s on the lawn next to the Sherwood and it was perfect. The reception was also at the Inn, and it was a great party! There was so much joy in the air as friends and family celebrated the newlyweds. Thank you to Kristen and Rob for trusting me to tell the story of your wedding day through these photographs, it’s been an honor!
Hair and makeup for this wedding was done by Sara Leilani Scollan, and Kristen's wedding dress was from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection. The ceremony and reception music were played by DJ & Pianist Andrew Westphal. Thank you to Diana Kapatos for second shooting this one with me!
