Cristina got ready for her wedding day at her parents’ home, with close friends and family by her side. Despite the unseasonably warm weather on Long Island that December day (not complaining!!), it still felt like a winter wedding with all the holiday décor in their home – I’ve never seen a house decorated more beautifully! Cristina’s dress, shoes, flowers, and jewelry were all stunning as well, but nothing held a candle to the bride herself! Her dad clearly agreed; it was hard for him (and everyone else seeing his reaction!) to keep it together when he first saw his daughter in her wedding dress.
His reaction was second only to Tom’s when he saw his bride walking down the aisle toward him at the start of their ceremony at St. Patrick’s Parish, a beautiful church in Bayshore, Long Island. It was all the more special that the officiate was Tom’s family’s priest who has known him and his family for years. He gave a beautiful homily before pronouncing Cristina and Tom husband and wife!
Obviously, I’ve seen a lot of wedding receptions, and this one was right up there with the best of them (obviously since it was full of Geneseo alumni)! The staff at the Inn at Fox Hollow did a fantastic job, the music was perfect, and the dance floor was absolutely packed! It was a really fun party and I had a great time documenting the celebration!
Cristina and Tom – YAY! You are wonderful and I’m so happy for you both! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you, but I know it will be fantastic!
