On Christmas Eve of 2013, Kenzie and Josh decided to spend the day skiing. At one point, Josh sped down the mountain ahead of Kenzie and she wondered why he wasn’t waiting for her. As she skied down to the bottom, her annoyance turned to pure joy when her question was answered by two giant words that had been spray painted in the snow; MARRY ME! Josh was waiting next to the message, spray can in hand. Obviously, she said yes!
They planned a picture perfect wedding celebration with a ceremony on the water at the Crooked Lake House. The setting there is gorgeous on it’s own, so with all the rustic and romantic décor they added it was such a beautiful setup! Even the dark and stormy sky was a stunning part of the scenery, and everyone kept their fingers crossed that the rain would hold out– and it did! The first drop didn’t fall until Kenzie and Josh had said their I do’s and made their way back down the aisle, beaming at each other.
The reception was quite the celebration, kicked off by Kenzie & Josh’s first dance and some amazing toasts. Kenzie’s two maids of honor surprised her by singing the ‘Friends’ theme song with their own lyrics and as you can tell by Kenzie’s face in the photos below, it was a hit!
I’ve known Kenzie for a while because her little sister and co-maid of honor has been one of my good friends since high school. I can't say enough good things about Kenzie - she's down-to-earth, a ton of fun, and absolutely hilarious and she found her perfect match in Josh. The only thing they might love more than each other is their pets - if that's not obvious enough from their choice of cake toppers (photo below).
Kenzie & Josh – Congratulations!!!! Your wedding was absolutely fantastic and I’m so happy you chose me to capture it for you! I hope you love the photos and they always bring back memories from your unforgettable wedding celebration!
