Lombardi's on The Bay Wedding: Amanda & AJ

Amanda and AJ are stunningly beautiful people who are kind-hearted, and madly in love with each other.  You might recognize these two from their engagement session photos that I took in Central Park last fall (or from the cover page of my website!).  Their wedding day was joyful, elegant, and full of love. 

I arrived to Amanda’s hotel room in the Ramada Plaza in Holtsville, Long Island, early Friday afternoon to start documenting the getting ready process, which is always a really fun time of day, and everyone was beaming with excited anticipation. After Amanda was all ready (looking completely flawless in her gorgeous wedding dress) we headed over to Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard for their First Look. AJ took Amanda to this vineyard the day before he proposed to her, and they knew it would be the perfect spot for their wedding photos.  It’s a beautifully landscaped vineyard in Calverton, Long Island, with acres of greenery, red barns, white picket fences, and even a bunch of horses.  We took advantage of this gorgeous property for the first look, wedding party photos, and photos of the soon-to-be husband and wife. 

The final stop of the day was the ceremony and reception location, Lombardi’s on the Bay, in Patchogue, Long Island.  Amanda and AJ said their "I dos" surrounded by friends and family on the beautiful back patio, right along the water with their backs to the setting sun.  Their vows were so beautifully written and sincere that it was hard to keep from tearing up, and I doubt that any of their guests weren’t deeply moved by their promises to each other.  I think the only thing that kept everyone from bawling was the sporadic laughter and smiles caused by Amanda’s veil, which seemed to have a mind of it’s own whipping around in the wind, until her little sister and Maid of Honor took control, holding it at bay for the remainder of the ceremony.  After the new husband and wife grinned their way back up the aisle, it was time for the party to start!  Their friends a family were a fun crew, and the dance floor was packed throughout the night. 

Amanda and AJ – thank you so much for allowing me the pleasure of capturing your love for each other.  It was clear to me that you are beautiful people, inside and out, and I wish you the very best in your lives together! I hope you love the photos!
