I can't believe we're already halfway through May - wedding season is officially here!! I'm so excited for all of the couples I'll be shooting this year, and I'm thrilled that I got to start off the season with such a great couple and beautiful wedding. Aside from more weddings, May has also brought some amazing weather! Saturday the 2nd was no exception, and when I arrived at St. Alban's Church in Syracuse that morning for Michelle & Andrew's wedding there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
As with most weddings that I photograph, I started off capturing some pictures of Michelle's (gorgeous!) dress, jewelry, and other details before her bridesmaids and mom helped her finish getting ready. She looked absolutely beautiful! Her dress was one of my favorites, and I also loved the color combination of the yellow bouquets with the bridesmaids' lavender dresses. After some portraits outside, it was ceremony time! From the moment Andrew and Michelle saw each other from opposite ends of the aisle, the smiles never left their faces for the rest of the day and into the evening. Their reception was at the Skyline Lodge just outside of Syracuse, which is a really neat venue with an Adirondack style and beautiful views - especially at sunset! We took advantage of the scenery for some more portraits when we arrived, and then the reception began. It was a really fun event, and everyone clearly had a wonderful time celebrating Michelle & Andrew! Here's are some of my favorite photos from the day - enjoy!
