The name Monroe County Office Building might not bring the most picturesque setting to your imagination, but the name doesn’t do it justice. Julie and Noah’s ceremony was held in the building’s center atrium, which has marble walls and pillars rising up four floors to an intricate skylight above. Everything about this room and the way it was set up and decorated for the ceremony was elegant and striking – the twin marble winding staircases by the entrance framed everything perfectly. And not every bride and groom is lucky enough to have a meaningful connection to their venue – this wasn’t only perfect for their ceremony because of its appearance, it’s also where Julie and Noah first met at work!
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the building’s beautiful interior for some portraits of Julie and Noah and then walked outside to the streets of downtown Rochester for a few more photos. I had a lot of fun with these two – they both have great personalities and senses of humor. Our next stop was the Rochester Airport Marriott for the cocktail hour and reception. I wasn’t surprised by the fun crew that this group turned out to be – after a hilarious speech and some amazing food, everybody hit the dance floor where the DJ from Whirlin’ Disc kept the party going strong.
Julie and Noah – thank you for making my job so much fun! I wish you the very best in this new chapter of your lives.
I hope the photos speak for themselves – enjoy!
