williamsburg engagement session: justine + tom
Justine is a fellow Geneseo alumni, who I knew there as a gorgeous, fun, and outgoing girl and I was thrilled when she contacted me about her wedding photography! Her fiancé Tom is great as well, and theirs’ was my favorite type of engagement session. In part because they’re such a pleasure to be around, but also because it’s always more fun to photograph a couple in a setting that has meaning to them. Williamsburg is where they live, where Tom proposed, and where they spend most of their time together, not to mention it’s just a really neat and unique neighborhood with lots of great photo opportunities. We started the afternoon at the hotel where Tom asked Justine to marry him (what could have more meaning to them than that?!) and got some photographs from a different perspective on the hotel’s rooftop. They spend a lot of time walking or riding their bikes around, sometimes with Tom on his skateboard, so we had fun with the bikes and skateboard capturing that part of their lives together. We explored the streets in the area, which were full of funky shops, cafes, and architecture, often covered with beautiful street art. We finished up the session on the water where the view of the Manhattan skyline is fantastic. It was particularly breathtaking at sunset against the colorful sky that evening. A perfect end to a fantastic session! I cannot wait for their wedding next year!!
Enjoy the images!
