I know exactly how Max proposed to Kasey because I was there, pretending to be a random person checking out the view at Bristol Harbour. In reality, Max had arranged for me to be there to photograph him asking the love of his life to marry him. Her reaction was perfect – complete surprise and pure joy. The next time I got to see them was at their engagement session, then, finally, the wedding!
While getting to know them before the wedding I came to the conclusion that Max and Kasey are as close to perfect as it gets. They are both incredibly kind, have impeccable style, are absolutely gorgeous, and they’re crazy about each other. I’ve been looking forward to their wedding for a while, and it was above and beyond what I had expected! When I arrived at Kasey’s parents’ the morning of her wedding, she was already radiating joy as she got ready for her big day with her girlfriends and family. The flowers by Hessney & Co. were incredible, her rose gold jewelry was stunning, I loved the bridesmaids dresses and furs, and I’d never seen such an incredible wedding dress before – everything was beautiful!
When she was done getting ready (looking GORGEOUS) we took some photos outside of her parents’ home, and then I headed to Geneseo to meet the boys on Main Street. Kasey and Max both are both fellow Geneseo alumni, which is another reason I was so excited for this wedding. I might be completely biased but I think Geneseo weddings are always the best. We took some photos around Main St., until it was time to head to St. Mary’s for the ceremony.
It was a wonderful ceremony; the priest gave a beautiful sermon and kept everyone going back and forth from tears to laughter. Kasey and Max couldn’t stop smiling at each other throughout, and were positively beaming as they said their I do’s and became Mr. & Mrs.
We made a few brief stops for pictures afterwards, and then headed to the Twin Silos Barn for the reception. It was decorated beautifully, full of rustic and elegant details. This was the kind of wedding reception that anyone would be lucky to attend. The speeches were funny and heartfelt, the first dance and parent dances had everyone in tears, the food was amazing, and all had a fantastic time!
Kasey & Max, I know you’re just getting back from the trip of a lifetime, so if you’re a little bummed to be back in the states I hope looking through this brings back the bliss from your PERFECT wedding day. Thank you for letting me capture it all for you, it’s been an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. From the bottom of my heart I wish you all the best!
