rochester event barn wedding: evan + alissa

Who says you can’t have a wedding when you’re already married?!  Alissa and Evan eloped a few months back, but once they realized how important it was to their loved ones to celebrate this momentous event with them, they decided to throw a wedding celebration after all.  We started the day off with Alissa and Evan’s first look at the Jerris Wadsworth Estate (which is absolutely gorgeous!!).   It was obvious that any nervousness Alissa and Evan had about the day melted away when they saw each other, and they were both nothing but happy.   We meandered around the grounds at the estate, taking advantage of it’s picturesque landscape, filled with winding paths, willow trees, and even a beautiful pond.  They couldn't have had a better day for their celebration – the weather was perfect.  We made our way over to the Rochester Event Barn and did some more portraits of Evan and Alissa there, before it was time for their short ceremony and then their reception.  They decorated the barn themselves, and it was very impressive.  I couldn’t believe all the little details they had arranged, all fitting in perfectly with the rustic vibe of the barn.  I really think Alissa could have a second career in wedding decor! The party was a blast, complete with lots of delicious food, dancing, laughter and love.  So glad I got to capture this one!   

Alissa and Evan, you guys are one of a kind in the very best way possible! You are so much fun and it was an absolute pleasure to be your photographer! All the happiness in the world to you both!
