bristol harbour finger lakes elopement: jessica + andrew

I love Jessie & Andrew’s story because their lives intersected many times before they got to know each other, and it seems like the universe just wouldn’t give up until they realized they were a perfect fit! From growing up right around the corner from each other, to their brothers being friends, from attending the same New Year’s Eve party at one point, to Andrew’s mom (who did Jessie’s hair) telling her she should meet her son, it was long overdue when the two of them finally got to meet in more than just another passing encounter. From then on, as they say, the rest is history! They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and they’re actually starting a family soon, with their first little one on the way! 

Given the way these two are constantly laughing and cracking each other up, the chemistry between them is probably obvious to anyone who meets them. They’re a breath of fresh air to be around; both are fun-loving, laid-back and genuinely kind people with great senses of humor and style. Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled that they chose me to photograph their elopement. They really wanted the day to be simple, and just about them and their love, and that’s exactly what it was. 

They decided to elope at one of my favorite local venues, Bristol Harbour Resort, which has breathtaking views of Canandaigua Lake and the surrounding scenery, and it’s hard to imagine a better setting for such a special day. They helped each other get ready (and both looked AMAZING) before it was time to head outside to say their I do’s. It was a perfect summer day, not too hot, with a light breeze and a bright blue sky. A violinist played as Andrew stood by the the arch behind Bristol Harbour (which had been decorated beautifully with floral arrangements made by Stacy K. Floral) and Jessie walked toward her soon-to-be husband. Seeing Andrew’s face at this point had to be my favorite moment of the day – his expression says it all! I could ramble on and on about how amazing the rest of the day was, from their heartfelt vows, to their first dance in the grass outside, to the amazing sunset as the day ended, but I’ll let the photos do the talking!
