Hotel Lafayette Buffalo Wedding Photography

Sarah & Joel’s older brothers had been good friends for years before Sara & Joel ever knew that the other existed! Then one year at a Friendsiving dinner they met and got chatting, and the sparks flew! They started dating soon after, and the rest is history!

These two tied the knot on November 3rdat the Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo, and it was such a smooth-sailing, relaxed, joy-filled day from start to end! I’d been really looking forward to their wedding ever since getting to know these two during their engagement session, and I was excited because I’d never photographed a wedding at The Hotel Lafayette before! Everything happened right at the hotel, and it was nice not having to deal with any travel logistics – we just walked right across the street to the area in front of the library for their First Look (which was SO sweet) and portraits of them and their wedding party! It was a little chilly out (which was expected in Buffalo in November) so it was great that there were also so many different areas within the hotel that were perfect for photos, and I especially loved all the big windows in the room where Sara got ready!

Their ceremony and reception were in the Greenhouse Room, and every moment was packed with love and laughter, and of course a few happy tears as well! After a few beautiful toasts and a first dance and father daughter dance that really pulled on the heartstrings, the party really got going and the dance floor was full all night! We did get to sneak away for a few night shots in the attached courtyard and I love how they turned out! I’m so thankful that these two picked me to photograph this incredible day, and I’m excited to share some of my favorite images here! Enjoy!
