I had been SO looking forward to Kory and Pam’s big day ever since I met them in the winter to chat about their wedding photography! They’re super relaxed and easy-going, and seemed most excited about having everyone they love gathered in one place to celebrate! When the day arrived, it was even better than I could have hoped! It was an absolutely beautiful October day here in Rochester with blue skies, a light breeze, and colorful leaves covering the trees and ground. Pam and Kory each got ready in one of the Inn on Broadway’s elegant guest rooms, before it was time to head over to the chapel at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School for their ceremony. I’ve driven by the entrance to this school a thousand times (mostly driving to and from Chipotle) and have always been intrigued, but I had no idea how gorgeous it would be! The grounds and architecture were an unbeatable setting for photos! I was in photo-location heaven all day (that’s totally a thing), as we went right from the Divinity School back to the Inn on Broadway for some rooftop photos at sunset! After this, Pam and Kory were ready to get the party started and it’s no surprise that the dancing was in full-force all night with DJ Naps from Breakthrough Entertainment behind the DJ booth.
I loved witnessing not only the relationship between Pam and Kory, but also those they have with their family and close friends! I honestly kept getting confused who was related to who, because they all just seemed like one big happy family already! Pam and Kory clearly value the people in their lives very much which is such a great characteristic to have in common. They even managed to make Kory’s brother who couldn’t attend in person a huge part of the day! He and his wife had to remain home as they were expecting their first child, but that didn’t stop them from witnessing the whole day as one guest or another face-timed them in. He even helped Kory’s other brother give one of the most hilarious speeches I’ve ever heard, via an iPad! Technology is cool.
I sometimes just can’t believe how amazing my clients are, and Pam and Kory are no exception! So thankful I got to be the one to capture their celebration! I can’t forget to mention that the beautiful flower bouquets and arrangements you’ll see below were done by Buds and Blooms, and that Pam’s STUNNING wedding dress (those sleeves though!!!) was Alfred Angelo. Thank you to Diana Kapatos for second shooting this one with me!
Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!
