hayloft on the arch wedding: ashley & chad
Ahhhh where to begin with this one? From the very first time I spoke to Ashley, I could tell that she was a bride with a clear vision for her wedding, and I couldn’t wait to see how it turned out. She and Chad, along with the awesome vendors they worked with, made it come together flawlessly. This wedding was a midsummer night’s dream meets rustic elegance (words stolen from Ashley), and it was truly one of my favorites! Everything from the funky bridesmaids' dresses in varied styles and shades of green, to the rustic doorway re-purposed as their wedding arch for the ceremony, was a special touch that reflected this couple’s unique style. It was my first time shooting at Hayloft on the Arch, and I really hope I get to return! It’s a spacious barn overflowing with rustic charm, seated on acres of gorgeous land in the countryside, and it’s filled with perfect spots for pictures – a photographer’s dream!
If you can’t tell already, I’m a big fan of Ashley and Chad – they’re awesome, have great senses of humor, and they seem to compliment each other perfectly. They might look familiar from their engagement session last fall. One of my favorite wedding day moments is always right at the end of the ceremony, when the officiate pronounces the couple husband and wife and they recess back up the aisle. It’s great because I’m all about capturing emotions, genuine expressions, etc. and it never gets more real than the smiles on newlyweds faces when they realize it’s official – they’re MARRIED! Ashley and Chad’s expressions were as good as it gets as they walked back up the aisle hand in hand, beaming at each other and all of their family and friends. The smiles remained on their faces throughout the rest of the day, and it was great to see these happy newlyweds celebrate with their loved ones.
Ashley and Chad – thank you so much again for choosing me to capture your vision, it was such a pleasure! I hope you can always look back on these photos to remember your absolutely perfect wedding celebration. I wish you all the best, and again – CONGRATULATIONS!
