What a wonderful way to finish off this year’s wedding season! One of the most frequent thoughts I have in my line of work is “awwwwwwww,” but I think this happened a record number of times at Bella and Brian’s wedding. Of course, everybody glows on their wedding day, but Bella and Brian took it up a notch. They just seemed so genuinely happy, madly in love, and appreciative of each other throughout the day. From a touching first look, to their wedding ceremony at the magnificent St. Patrick’s Parish in Bayshore, LI, on to the celebration at the Mansion at Timber Point, this was a truly a spectacular event! I couldn’t help smiling the entire time I photographed these two. I wasn’t the only one having fun, and I certainly wasn’t the only one laughing as Bella and Brian’s proposal story was told during one of the toasts.
Apparently, when Brian made plans to surprise his high school sweetheart and love of his life with a proposal, he thought of almost everything; everything but the unpredictability of cell phones. Coordinating with Bella’s friend, whom Bella was visiting for the weekend (unaware that the trip was all a part of Brian’s secret plan) he was to show up at a park where the girls were hiking for the day. Bella had no idea he was in town, so his appearance followed by a proposal would be quite a surprise. Unfortunately he had no service to text her friend and find out their location, so he ended up walking around desperately trying to find them… this park is 14,350 ACRES by the way. That being said, I think it’s nothing short of a miracle that he was able to find her (after two hours of searching) and pull off the surprise after all!
Bella and Brian – You two are simply amazing, and love like yours is exactly why I love my job so much. Thank you for trusting me to capture your big day! I hope you love the photos!
